OUR STORY

MEET BRANDON

Who knew a project in junior high shop class would ignite my passion for woodworking and lead to a career as a custom craftsmen and small business owner? Five state championships confirmed working with wood was not just a passion but a gift. At the age of 18, I built cabinets for my first client in my parents’ basement. Before I graduated from Mineral Area College, my business had outgrown the workspace, so with the expertise of my dad and my uncle, we built my shop in Doe Run, MO. The shop officially opened shortly after my 20th birthday. Currently I’m pursuing designation as a cabinetry specialist by the National Kitchen & Bath Association. Every day I’m grateful to be blessed with a fulfilling career that allows me to serve clients and leave a lasting impression in their home.

MEET KELLI

My career in design began at a flea market when I was 16 and spotted a 1940s Thomasville highboy tucked at the back of a vendor’s stall. I spent the summer sanding and refinishing the neglected chest to restore its splendor. After high school, I attended Southeast Missouri State University and studied interior design, which is a National Kitchen and Bath (NKBA) accredited program. I graduated with a B.S. in Interior Design and am an NKBA certified associate kitchen and bath designer. I worked as a designer in St. Louis before joining Brando’s Custom Woodworking in June 2019. While Brandon creates masterpieces, I manage client communication, scheduling, marketing, and design.

THIS IS US

Imagine our surprise when we met and realized our similar interests--a cabinet maker and an interior designer. Coincidence? We like to think it’s a match made in Heaven! After dating almost four years, we became Mr. & Mrs. Hubbs--partners in business and partners for life. If we aren't working, you can find us checking off our travel bucket list or watching our favorite TV shows with our fur baby, Jasper.
